You can delete your account yourself, at any time, without asking anyone. It takes about ten seconds and it is immediate. There is no waiting period, no retention window, and nothing to cancel first.
Email support@kindredapp.ca from the address you signed up with and ask for the account to be deleted. Sending it from that address is how we know it is you, so a request from any other address will be answered with a question rather than acted on.
These are done within 72 hours, usually the same day. You will get one email confirming it is gone, and that email is the last thing we ever send you.
All of it, from the server, permanently:
The people you matched with lose those conversations too. That is deliberate: a chat belongs to both of you, so it is not kept on one side after the other has gone.
Reports involving you go as well, both ones you made and ones made about you.
The launch list. If you gave your email address on this website before the app opened, that list is separate from your account, and deleting the account does not touch it. Ask in the same email and it goes too, or reply to any launch email and say so.
Nothing else survives. There is no backup kept for analytics, because there is no analytics: Kindred has no advertising, no tracking and no third-party services, so there is nobody else holding a copy for you to chase.
Removing Kindred from your phone does not delete anything on the server. If you want to disappear from Discover but keep your matches, use Pause my account in Settings instead: nobody new sees you, your chats are safe, and they will not expire while you are away.
